Friday (Al-Jumu'ah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ All that is in the heavens and the earth glorify God, the King, the Holy, the Majestic and the All-wise. 1 He it is Who raised among the inhabitants of Mecca an Apostle from among themselves, who recites to them His communications and purifies them, and teaches them the Book and the Wisdom, although they were before certainly in clear error, 2 And [to] others of them who have not yet joined them. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. 3 Such is the Bounty of Allah, which He bestows on whom He will: and Allah is the Lord of the highest bounty. 4 The likeness of those who were loaded with the Torah, but did not carry it, is like that of a donkey carrying books. Evil is the example of the people who have belied the verses of Allah. Allah does not guide the evildoers. 5 Say, "You who are Jews, if you claim that you are favoured by God out of all people, then long for death, if you are truthful." 6 But they will not wish for it, ever, because of what their hands have put forth. And Allah is Knowing of the wrongdoers. 7 So say, "The death you run away from will certainly meet you, and thereafter you will be brought back to the Knower of the unseen and the seen, and He will declare to you what you have done." 8
