Jinns (Al-Jinn)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Say: It has been revealed to me that a company of Jinns listened (to the Qur'an). They said, 'We have really heard a wonderful Recital! 1 'It gives guidance to the Right, and we have believed therein: we shall not join (in worship) any (gods) with our Lord. 2 ‘And that our Lord’s Majesty is Supreme – He has neither chosen a wife nor a child.’ 3 And that the foolish amongst us used to forge extravagant things against Allah: 4 And we had thought that mankind and the jinn would never speak about Allah a lie. 5 "Certain human beings sought refuge with certain jinn and this increased the rebelliousness of those jinn. 6 so much so that they came to think, as you [once] thought, that God would never [again] send forth anyone [as His apostle]. 7 And we have sought [to reach] the heaven but found it filled with powerful guards and burning flames. 8 And we used to sit on places (high) therein to listen. But he who listeneth now findeth a flame in wait for him; 9 And so we do not know whether evil is intended for those on earth, or whether their Lord intends to guide them. 10 Some of us are righteous, but some are otherwise, we are sects that differ. 11 And we know that we cannot frustrate Allah in the earth, nor can we frustrate Him by flight. 12 ‘And that when we heard the guidance, we accepted faith in it; so whoever accepts faith in his Lord, has no fear – neither of any loss nor of any injustice.’ 13 'Amongst us are some that submit their wills (to Allah), and some that swerve from justice. Now those who submit their wills - they have sought out (the path) of right conduct: 14 However, the deviators from the Truth will be the fuel for hell". 15 And had they kept to the path surely We would have watered them with rain plenteous. 16 so that We may test them by it -- whoever turns away from the remembrance of his Lord shall be sternly punished. 17 And the mosques are for Allah (Alone), so invoke not anyone along with Allah. 18 And when the bondman of Allah stood calling upon Him, they well nigh pressed on him stifling. 19
