The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Magnify the Name of thy Lord the Most High 1 Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it; 2 who determined and guided, 3 Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden -- 7 And We will make it easy for thee (to follow) the simple (Path). 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah): 10 And the most wicked will stay away from it. 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 In which he will neither die nor live. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 and remembers his Sustainer's name, and prays [unto Him]. 15 Nay! you prefer the life of this world, 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 Indeed this is in the former scriptures. 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
