[AND] the people of Lot gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 160 When their brother Lot said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 161 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 162 So fear Allah and obey me. 163 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 164 What, do you come to male beings, 165 “And leave the wives your Lord has created for you? In fact you are people who exceed the limits.” 166 They said, "Lot, if you do not give up preaching, you will certainly be expelled (from this town)". 167 He said: I am in truth of those who hate your conduct. 168 My Lord! Save me and my household from what they do. 169 So We delivered him and his household all. 170 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 171 then We destroyed the others. 172 And We showered a rain upon them; so what a wretched rain for those who were warned! 173 Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 174 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 175
