1/2 Hizb 45
< random >
۞ "Bring ye up", it shall be said, "The wrong-doers and their wives, and the things they worshipped- 22 "Besides Allah, and lead them to the Way to the (Fierce) Fire! 23 and detain them there; they will be called to account. 24 “What is the matter with you, that you do not help one another?” 25 indeed, on that Day they will surrender themselves. 26 They will turn to each other saying, 27 They will say, "You used to come at us from the right." 28 They will say, "No! It was you who would not believe -- 29 We had no power over you, but ye were wayward folk. 30 So on us hath been justified the sentence of our Lord: verily we are to taste. 31 Therefore we perverted you, and we ourselves were perverts.' 32 Then verily, that Day, they will (all) share in the torment. 33 As such We shall deal with the evildoers. 34 for when it was said to them, 'There is no god but God,' they were ever waxing proud, 35 and said: 'Are we to renounce our gods for the sake of a mad poet' 36 Nay! he has come with the (very) Truth, and he confirms (the Message of) the messengers (before him). 37 “You surely have to taste the painful punishment.” 38 And ye shall be required not except for that which ye have been doing; 39 Save single-minded slaves of Allah; 40 For them there is a known provision, 41 Fruits; and they will be honoured. 42 In gardens of pleasure, 43 On thrones, facing each other. 44 They will be served with a cup full of crystal clear wine, 45 clear, delightful to those who drink it: 46 No headiness there shall be therein, nor shall they be therewith inebriated. 47 Theirs shall be wide-eyed maidens with bashful, restrained glances, 48 who are as chaste as sheltered eggs. 49 They will go to one another asking each other questions. 50 Said one of the speakers: "I had a friend 51 Who said: What! are you indeed of those who accept (the truth)? 52 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be requited?" 53 He saith: Will ye look? 54 Then, he will look and see him in the midst of Hell. 55 He will say, "By Allah, you almost ruined me. 56 And but for the favour of my lord, I should have been of those brought forward. 57 What, do we then not die 58 Other than our first death, and we shall not be punished? 59 Verily this is the supreme achievement! 60 For the like of this let the workers work. 61 Is such [a paradise] the better welcome - or the [hellish] tree of deadly fruit? 62 We have made this tree a trial for the wrong-doers. 63 Verily, it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hell-fire, 64 Its produce is as it were the heads of the serpents. 65 and they eat of it, and of it fill their bellies, 66 Then most surely they shall have after it to drink of a mixture prepared in boiling water. 67 They can only return to hell. 68 Indeed they found their fathers astray. 69 and they are running in their footsteps. 70 Before them a multitude of people of olden times had erred, 71 And We had sent admonishers to them. 72 So behold what wise hath been the end of those who were warned. 73 Only Our sincere servants were saved. 74
