Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
And assuredly We gave grace unto Musa and Harun. 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 And helped them so that they became the victors. 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 and guided them the straight way, 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Surely they were both of Our believing servants. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 "Allah - Who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
