Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing 1 And those that bear the burden (of the rain) 2 then the easy runners (the ships); 3 and the partitioners, 4 What you are threatened with is most surely true, 5 and, verily, judgment is bound to come! 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 Indeed, you are in differing speech. 8 He is turned away from it who would be turned away. 9 Destroyed are the falsifiers 10 Who are in a gulf (of ignorance) neglectful; 11 They ask, "When will be the Day of Judgment and Justice?" 12 It will be the Day when they are tormented at the Fire. 13 Taste your persecution! this is what you would hasten on. 14 Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and fresh springs of water, 15 joyously receiving what their Lord will have granted them. Verily they did good works before (the coming of this Day): 16 They slept very little during the night 17 And in the dawns they prayed for forgiveness. 18 And in their substance was the right of the beggar and non-beggar. 19 For those with sure belief there are signs in the earth, 20 just as [there are signs thereof] within your own selves: can you not, then, see? 21 And in the heaven lies your sustenance, and the promise you are given. 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
