The warnings came to the people of Pharaoh. 41 Who denied Our revelations, every one. Therefore We grasped them with the grasp of the Mighty, the Powerful. 42 Are your unbelievers (of Makkah) any better than they? Or have you been granted any immunity in the Scriptures? 43 Or they say, “We shall all take revenge as a group.” 44 Soon shall this legion be routed and shall turn their backs and flee. 45 Aye! the Hour is their appointed term, and the Hour shall be far more grievous and far more bitter. 46 The evil-doers are victims of error and madness. 47 On the Day when they shall be dragged into the fire on their faces, [they will be told:] "Taste now the touch of hell-fire!" 48 Lo! We have created every thing by measure. 49 And Our commandment is but one (commandment), as the twinkling of an eye. 50 And indeed, We have destroyed your likes, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)? 51 All their deeds are in the Scrolls, 52 Every matter, small and great, is on record. 53 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and rivers, 54 Seated in an assembly of the Truth, in the presence of Allah, the Omnipotent King. 55
