By no means! By the moon, 32 By the night when it withdraweth. 33 And [by] the morning when it brightens, 34 hell is certainly the greatest calamity. 35 a warning to humankind, 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 Except the companions of the right, 39 Sitting in the gardens, asking 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 Nor did we feed the wretched. 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 and we cried lies to the Day of Doom, 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 And so, of no benefit to them could be the intercession of any that would intercede for them. 48 Why now turn they away from the Admonishment, 49 as if they were startled asses 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 Nay, every man of them desires to be -- given -- scrolls unrolled. 52 This will certainly never be the case! In fact, they are not afraid of the Day of Judgment. 53 Never so, as this is a reminder. 54 So whoever wills may heed advice from it. 55 And they will not remember except that Allah wills. He is worthy of fear and adequate for [granting] forgiveness. 56
