The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 By the angels who release with gentle release. 2 And by those who glide along (on errands of mercy), 3 And by those that press forward as in a race (i.e. the angels or stars or the horses, etc.). 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 On the Day, the shiverer shivers 6 followed by the succeeding, 7 hearts will undergo terrible trembling, 8 Unable to lift their gaze. 9 They say: “Shall we indeed be restored to life, 10 Even after we are crumbled bones? 11 They say: "It would in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 However, it will only take a single blast 13 When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment). 14 Have you heard the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called upon him in the holy valley, twice, 16 That “Go to Firaun – he has rebelled.” 17 and say [unto him,] 'Art thou desirous of attaining to purity? 18 Then I will guide you to your Lord that you may come to fear Him.'" 19 He showed him the mighty sign, 20 But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed. 21 Then he went back hastily. 22 then he mustered 23 Saying, "I am your Lord, Most High". 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 In this there is a lesson for those who have fear of God. 26
