The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 and what could make you know what it is that comes in the night? 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 Let man consider what he was made of: 5 He is created from a water gushing forth. 6 Proceeding from between the back-bone and the ribs, 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 On the day when hidden thoughts shall be searched out. 9 (Man) will have no power, and no helper. 10 So I call to witness the rain-producing sky, 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 Lo! this (Qur'an) is a conclusive word, 13 And is not a matter of amusement. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 And I plot a plot (against them). 16 So leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
