Truly, it is the sending of the Lord of the Worlds. 192 trustworthy divine inspiration has alighted with it from on high 193 Upon thy heart, that thou mayest be of the warners, 194 In eloquent Arabic. 195 Without doubt it is (announced) in the mystic Books of former peoples. 196 Was it not a proof for them that the learned men of Israel knew about this? 197 And if We had revealed it unto one of any other nation than the Arabs, 198 And he had read it unto them, even then they would not have been believers therein. 199 This is how We have made (the habit of) denying embedded in the hearts of the guilty. 200 they shall not believe in it until they see the painful punishment 201 so that it will come upon them suddenly, while they are not aware, 202 Then will they say: "Can we be given respite?" 203 What! do they still seek to hasten on Our punishment? 204 Think! If We let them enjoy life for some years, 205 And then cometh that which they were promised, 206 of what avail to them will be all their past enjoyments? 207 We never destroyed any town without first sending to them warning and guidance. 208 By way of reminder, and We have never been unjust. 209 And the devils have not brought the revelation down. 210 They are not worthy of it, nor have they power. 211 Lo! verily they are banished from the hearing. 212 So do not call any other god beside Allah lest you become of those who will be punished, 213 Warn your close relatives 214 And lower your wing to those who follow you of the believers. 215 If they disobey you, tell them, "I condemn your disobedient deeds". 216 And put thy trust on the Exalted in Might, the Merciful,- 217 Who watches you when you stand up. 218 And watches your movements among those who prostrate in prayer. 219 He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They come to every sinful liar. 222 who lends an ear to them, and most of them are liars. 223 Only the erring people follow the poets. 224 Have you not seen that they wander distract in every valley, 225 and they say what they do not do? 226 Except those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned. 227
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
