Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 For a known extent. 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 for the living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
