The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Read: In the name of thy Lord Who createth, 1 Has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood). 2 Recite! Your Lord is the most Honorable One, 3 who taught by the pen, 4 Taught man that which he knew not. 5 Despite this, the human being still tends to rebel 6 Because he considers himself self-sufficient. 7 Surely! Unto your Lord is the return. 8 What do you think? Have you seen he who forbids 9 A servant when he prays? 10 Seest thou if he is on (the road of) Guidance?- 11 or bade to godfearing -- 12 Have you considered if he gives the lie to the truth and turns (his) back? 13 Does he, then, not know that God sees [all]? 14 Nay, but if he cease not We will seize him by the forelock - 15 A lying, sinful forehead. 16 Then, let him call (for help) to his council (of comrades): 17 We shall summon the guards of Hell. 18 (Muhammad), never yield to him! Prostrate yourself and try to come closer to God. ۩ 19
Almighty Allah's Truth.
