Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the racers, panting, 1 Then those that produce fire striking, 2 Then those that make raids at morn, 3 Then, therewith, with their trail of dust, 4 cleaving there with a host! 5 Truly man is, to his Lord, ungrateful; 6 and to this, behold, he [himself] bears witness indeed: 7 He certainly has a strong love for wealth and riches. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when that which is in the tombs is over-thrown, 9 and that which is in the breasts is brought out -- 10 indeed, on that Day their Lord will be aware of them! 11
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
