(Sometimes later), the King dreamt that seven lean cows were eating seven fat ones and that there were seven green ears of corn and seven dry ones. He asked the nobles to tell him the meaning of his dream if they were able to. 43 They said, "These are confusing dreams and we do not know the interpretation of such dreams." 44 After all that time, the one of the two who had been saved remembered, he said: 'I will interpret it for you, so let me go' 45 “O Yusuf! O truthful one! Explain for us the seven healthy cows which seven lean cows were eating and the seven green ears of corn and seven others dry, so I may return to the people, possibly they may come to know.” 46 Joseph said, "You shall sow for seven consecutive years as usual, but leave in the ear the harvest that you reap, except for a little which you may eat. 47 "Then will come after that, seven hard (years), which will devour what you have laid by in advance for them, (all) except a little of that which you have guarded (stored). 48 Then will come after that a year in which the people will be given rain and in which they will press [olives and grapes]." 49
