Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
