The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By oath of the late morning, 1 and by the night when it darkens, 2 Thy Sustainer has not forsaken thee, nor does He scorn thee: 3 and the Hereafter will indeed be better for you than the present life; 4 Your Lord will soon grant you sufficient favors to please you. 5 Did He not find you orphaned and shelter you? 6 And find you lost (that is, unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)? 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 As for the orphan, do not oppress him, 9 and do not reject the beggars 10 And proclaim the Grace of your Lord (i.e. the Prophethood and all other Graces). 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa). Sent down in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
