Children of Israel, remember My blessing wherewith I blessed you, and fulfil My covenant and I shall fulfil your covenant; and have awe of Me. 40 Believe in that which I have [now] bestowed from on high, confirming the truth already in your possession, and be not foremost among those who deny its truth; and do not barter away My messages for a trifling gain; and of Me, of Me be conscious 41 And cover not Truth with falsehood, nor conceal the Truth when ye know (what it is). 42 Attend to your prayers, give the zakat [prescribed alms] and bow down with those who bow down. 43 ۞ Enjoin ye righteousness upon mankind while ye yourselves forget (to practise it)? And ye are readers of the Scripture! Have ye then no sense? 44 And seek assistance through patience and prayer, and most surely it is a hard thing except for the humble ones, 45 who reckon that they will meet their Lord and that to Him they will return. 46
