And the dwellers in Al-Hijr denied (Our) messengers. 80 We showed them miracles but they ignored them. 81 Out of the mountains did they hew (their) edifices, (feeling themselves) secure. 82 But the Shout seized them in the morning, 83 Then availed them not that which they had been earning. 84 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is in between them except with Truth. Surely the Hour will come. So, (O Muhammad), do graciously overlook them (despite their misdeeds). 85 Surely your Lord is the Creator of all things, the Knowing. 86 (Muhammad), We have given you the seven most repeated (verses) and the great Quran. 87 Do not yearn for other people's property and wives and do not grieve (that they do not believe). Be kind to the believers. 88 and clearly tell the unbelievers: "I am most certainly a plain warner," 89 Even as We sent down on the dividers 90 And severed their Scripture into fragments. 91 Now by thy Lord, We shall surely question them all together 92 About what they used to do. 93 Therefore declare openly what you are bidden and turn aside from the polytheists. 94 We shall help you against those who mock you 95 Those who adopt, with Allah, another god: but soon will they come to know. 96 Indeed, We know that your breast is straitened at what they say. 97 When (you feel so) glorify your Lord with His praise and prostrate yourself before Him, 98 and worship thy Sustainer till death comes to thee. 99
