The people of Lut denied the Noble Messengers. 160 When their brother Lot said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 161 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 162 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 163 And I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds; 164 "Must you, of all people, [lustfully] approach men, 165 And leave what your Lord has created for you as mates? But you are a people transgressing." 166 They said: "If you cease not. O Lout (Lot)! Verily, you will be one of those who are driven out!" 167 He said: "I am, indeed, of those who disapprove with severe anger and fury your (this evil) action (of sodomy). 168 My Lord, save me and my family from [the consequence of] what they do." 169 We saved him and all of his family, 170 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 171 Then We destroyed the rest of them, 172 and We rained on them a rain; and evil is the rain of them that are warned. 173 Surely, in that there is a sign. Yet most of them do not believe. 174 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 175
