In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
READ IN THE name of your Lord who created, 1 created man out of a germ-cell 2 Read: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, 3 He Who taught (the use of) the pen,- 4 Taught man what he knew not. 5 Nay, but man doth transgress all bounds, 6 For he thinks he is sufficient in himself. 7 truly, all will return to your Lord. 8 HAST THOU ever considered him who tries to prevent 9 A votary when he (turns) to pray? 10 Bethinkest thou, if he is himself guided, 11 Or enjoineth piety? 12 What thinkest thou? If he cries lies, and turns away - 13 Does he not know that Allah sees? 14 Indeed, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock, 15 the lying, rebellious forehead! 16 Then, let him call upon his council (of helpers), 17 We will call the guards of hell. 18 No, not at all. Never obey him. But prostrate yourself and become nigh (to your Lord). ۩ 19
