Man is prone to say: "Shall I be raised to life after I die?" 66 Does man not remember that before We created him he was nothing? 67 Now, by thy Lord, We shall surely muster them, and the Satans, then We shall parade them about Gehenna hobbling on their knees. 68 Then We shall carry off from every group those who were most stubborn in their opposition to the Gracious One, 69 Again We do certainly know best those who deserve most to be burned therein. 70 and there is not one of you but shall pass through it: a decree from your Lord which must be fulfilled. 71 Then We shall deliver those who have feared, and shall have the wrong-doers therein kneeling. 72 When Our lucid revelations are read out to them, the infidels say to those who believe: "Which of the two groups is better in standing, and whose company is more excellent?" 73 And how many a generation have We destroyed before these, who were goodlier in goods and outward appearance? 74 Say: "As for him who lives in error, may the Most Gracious lengthen the span of his life! [And let them say whatever they say until the time when they behold that [doom] of which they were forewarned - whether it be suffering [in this world] or [at the coming of] the Last Hour - for then they will understand which [of the two kinds of man] was worse in station and weaker in resources! 75 And Allah will increase the guidance for those who have received guidance; and good deeds that remain have the best reward before your Lord, and the best outcome. 76 So have you seen him who denied Our signs and says, “I shall certainly be given wealth and children?” 77 Has he gained knowledge of the Unseen? Or taken a covenant with the Merciful? 78 Nay! We shall record what he says, and We shall increase his torment (in the Hell); 79 And We shall inherit from him (at his death) all that he talks of (i.e. wealth and children which We have bestowed upon him in this world), and he shall come to Us alone. 80 They have taken other gods apart from God that they might be a strength to them. 81 Nay, but they will deny their worship of them, and become opponents unto them. 82
