The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
56 verses, revealed in Mecca after Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil) before The Key (Al-Faatehah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
O thou enveloped in thy cloak, 1 arise, and warn! 2 And your Lord do magnify, 3 Thy raiment purify, 4 shun uncleanness; 5 And show not favour, seeking wordly gain! 6 And for the sake of your Lord, be patient. 7 Finally, when the Trumpet is sounded, 8 that very Day shall be a day of anguish, 9 For the disbelievers - not easy. 10 Let Me alone with him whom I created lonely. 11 And gave him abundant wealth 12 And sons dwelling in his presence, 13 And made several preparations for him. 14 Yet is he greedy-that I should add (yet more);- 15 Nay, verily, it is against Our messages that he knowingly, stubbornly sets himself 16 I will cover him with arduous torment. 17 Verily he considered, and devised. 18 and woe to him; how he plotted! 19 Let him be destroyed. How he calculated! 20 Then looked he, 21 Then he frowned and he scowled; 22 then he retreated and waxed proud, 23 and said, "This is nothing but sorcery from the ancients. 24 "This is nothing but the word of a human being!" 25 Him shall I fling unto the burning. 26 What could make you conceive what hell-fire is? 27 It leaves naught nor does it spare aught. 28 It scorches the mortal. 29 there are nineteen [angels] in charge of it -- 30 We have not appointed the guards of hell, except angels; and did not keep this number except to test the disbelievers in order that the People given the Book(s) may be convinced, and to increase the faith of the believers and so that the People given the Book(s) and the Muslims may not have any doubt and so that those in whose hearts is a disease and the disbelievers, may say, “What does Allah mean by this amazing example?” This is how Allah sends astray whomever He wills, and guides whomever He wills; and no one knows the armies of Allah except Him; and this is not but an advice to man. 31

Notes and Instructions
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
