Are you more difficult to create or the heavens? He built it, 27 He raised its roof and made it proper. 28 and darkened its night, and brought forth its forenoon; 29 and thereafter spread out the earth, 30 He extracted from it its water and its pasture, 31 And the mountains, He made them firm, 32 all this as provision for you and your cattle. 33 When the great over-whelming event arrives, 34 on the Day when man will recall all his strivings, 35 And the hell shall be made manifest to him who sees 36 then as for him who was insolent 37 And preferred the life of this world (by following his evil desires and lusts), 38 Lo! hell will be his home. 39 But unto him who shall have stood in fear of his Sustainer's Presence, and held back his inner self from base desires, 40 Their abode will be the Garden. 41 They ask you about the hour, when it will come. 42 Why (ask they)? What hast thou to tell thereof? 43 [seeing that] with thy Sustainer alone rests the beginning and the end [of all knowledge] thereof? 44 You are only a warner for those who fear it. 45 On the day when they see it, it will seem to them as though they had only lived in the world for a morning and an afternoon. 46
