And when the messengers came unto the family of Lot, 61 He said: Lo! ye are folk unknown (to me). 62 "We have come to you with news," they said, "of what your people doubt; 63 "We have brought to thee that which is inevitably due, and assuredly we tell the truth. 64 Leave the town with your family sometime during the night. Walk behind them and let no one turn around. Proceed as you are commanded." 65 We communicated to him Our decree that the guilty ones would be destroyed by the morning. 66 Then came the people of the city, exulting at the news. 67 He said, “These are my guests do not dishonour me.” 68 And fear Allah and do not disgrace me." 69 They replied, "Did we not forbid you to bring anyone to your house?" 70 "Here are my daughters," said Lot, "if you are so active." 71 By your life, [O Muhammad], indeed they were, in their intoxication, wandering blindly. 72 Then the mighty Blast caught them at sunrise, 73 We laid it (the city) upside down and rained stones of baked clay upon them. 74 Indeed in this are signs for people who perceive. 75 And the (cities were) right on the high-road. 76 Most surely there is a sign in this for the believers. 77 AND THE DWELLERS of the wooded dales [of Madyan, too,] were inveterate evildoers, 78 and We took vengeance on them. The two of them were upon a roadway manifest. 79

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
