Hizb 38
< random >
The people of Noah gave the lie to the Messengers. 105 When their brother Nuh said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 106 I am a trustworthy Messenger to you; 107 so fear Allah and obey me. 108 And I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds: 109 So fear God and follow me." 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we place our faith in thee, even though [only] the most abject [of people] follow thee?" 111 He said, “What do I know what their deeds are?” 112 If only you would realize, their account is with my Lord. 113 It is not for me to repel those who choose to believe. 114 "I am sent only to warn plainly in public." 115 They said: "If thou desist not, O Noah! thou shalt be stoned (to death)." 116 Then Noah said, "Lord, my people have rejected me. 117 So adjudge between me and them conclusively, and save me and the believers who are with me." 118 And We saved him and those with him in the laden ship. 119 Thereafter We drowned those who remained behind. 120 In this there is evidence (of the truth) but most of them do not have any faith. 121 And lo, thy Lord, He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 122

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
