Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun is folded up, 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 And when the hills are moved, 3 the young barren camels are abandoned, 4 when the savage beasts are gathered 5 And when the seas are set afire. 6 souls are reunited with their bodies, 7 And the little girl buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was killed 9 And when the Writs shall be lain open, 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped, 11 And when the hell is kindled up, 12 and when paradise is brought into view: 13 (Then) every soul will know what it had prepared (for itself). 14 So verily, I swear by the planets that recede (i.e. disappear during the day and appear during the night). 15 Moving swiftly and hiding themselves, 16 and sit during the day, or by the darkening night 17 And by the dawn as it brightens; 18 Verily, this is the Word (this Quran brought by) a most honourable messenger [Jibrael (Gabriel), from Allah to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)]. 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 (O people of Makkah), your companion is not mad; 22 And of a truth he saw himself on the clear horizon. 23 And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen. 24 Nor is this the word of a stoned satan. 25 So where are you going? 26 This is nothing but a Reminder to the worlds, 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 And ye will not, unless (it be) that Allah willeth, the Lord of Creation. 29
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
