Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), 1 till you reached the grave. 2 But you will come to know soon; -- 3 Again, Nay! You shall come to know! 4 No indeed; did you know with the knowledge of certainty, 5 Indeed you will see hell. 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the sight of certainty. 7 Then you will surely be asked that Day about pleasure. 8
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
