۞ So will he, who knows that what is sent down upon you from your Lord is the truth, ever be equal to him who is blind? Only the men of understanding heed advice. 19 Those who fulfil the promise of Allah and do not break the covenant, 20 Such as unite that which Allah hath commandeth should be joined, and fear their Lord, and dread a woeful reckoning; 21 who exercise patience to gain God's pleasure, who are steadfast in prayer, who spend for the cause of God privately and in public, and who keep away evil with good will have a blissful end. 22 They shall enter the eternal Gardens of Eden, along with the righteous from among their fathers, wives and descendants. From every gate the angels will come to them, saying, 23 'Peace be upon you, for that you were patient.' Fair is the Ultimate Abode. 24 As for those who break God's covenant after validating it, and sever relations which God ordained cohered, and spread corruption in the land, there is condemnation for them and an evil abode. 25 Allah gives abundantly and sparingly to whom He will. They rejoice in this present life; but this present life, beside the Everlasting Life, is nothing but a passing enjoyment. 26
