If We extend anyone's life, We reverse his development. Can they not use their reason? 68 And We have not taught him poetry, nor is it meet for him; it is nothing but a reminder and a plain Quran, 69 to warn all who are truly alive, and to justify the word [God's verdict] against the deniers. 70 Observe they not that We have created for them, of that which Our hands have worked, cattle: so that they are their owners. 71 We have subjected the cattle to them so that some of them they ride and eat the flesh of others. 72 some for milk to drink and some from which other benefits may be received? Will they not be grateful? 73 And they have taken beside Allah gods, hoping that haply they may be succoured. 74 Those deities can render them no help. Yet these devotees act as though they were an army in waiting for them. 75 Let not their words grieve you. We have knowledge of all that they conceal and all that they reveal. 76 Does man not see that We created him of a sperm drop, and lo! he is flagrantly contentious? 77 And he puts forth for Us a parable, and forgets his own creation. He says: "Who will give life to these bones when they have rotted away and became dust?" 78 Say, "He who brought them into being in the first instance will give them life again: He has knowledge of every type of creation: 79 He who produces fire for you from green trees and from this you kindle fire." 80 Is not He, who created the heavens and earth, able to create the like of them? Yes indeed; He is the All-creator, the All-knowing. 81 Whenever He wills a thing, He just commands it “Be” and it is. 82 So glory be to Him, in whose hand is the dominion of everything, and unto whom you shall be returned. 83
