Hizb 46
< random >
So also was Jonah among those sent (by Us). 139 when he ran away to the laden ship 140 Then he joined the lots, and was of the condemned. 141 And the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy; 142 Had he not glorified God, 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish until the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill. 145 And We caused a plant of gourd to grow over him. 146 We sent him as a messenger to a hundred thousand people or more, 147 So they accepted faith We therefore gave them usage for a while. 148 Now ask them their opinion: Is it that thy Lord has (only) daughters, and they have sons?- 149 Did We create the angels as females the while they witnessed?” 150 Is it not a lie invented by them when they say: 151 “Allah has begotten.” They are liars! 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you form your judgement? 154 What, and will you not remember? 155 Or have ye an authority manifest? 156 Then bring your book, if ye say sooth. 157 And they have invented a kinship between Him and the jinns, but the jinns know well that they have indeed to appear (before Him) (i.e. they will be brought for accounts). 158 limitless is God in His glory, above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 159 except for God's sincere servants. 160 neither you nor what you worship 161 Can tempt anyone to rebel against Him. 162 Except the one who will go into the blazing fire. 163 And the angels say, “Each one of us has an appointed known position.” 164 we are the rangers, 165 And verily we! we hallow. 166 What, would they then say: 167 'If only we had had a Reminder from the ancients, 168 “We would certainly be the chosen bondmen of Allah.” 169 Yet now (that it has come) they refuse to believe in it; but they will come to know soon. 170 We have already given Our promise to Our Messengers 171 [That] indeed, they would be those given victory 172 and that Our hosts shall triumph. 173 (Muhammad), stay away from them for a while 174 And watch them (how they fare), and they soon shall see (how thou farest)! 175 Do they want to suffer Our torment immediately? 176 But then, once it alights upon them, hapless will be the awakening of those who were warned [to no avail]! 177 And leave them for a time. 178 And wait, for they will soon see. 179 Hallowed be thine Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they ascribe! 180 Peace be on the Messengers. 181 And praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
