Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 excusing or warning, 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 For a known term? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
