The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the white forenoon 1 By the night when it darkeneth, 2 Thy Lord has neither forsaken thee nor hates thee 3 And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life of this world). 4 And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan, so provided you shelter? 6 Did He not find thee erring, and guide thee? 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 Do not oppress the orphans 9 and as for the beggar, scold him not; 10 and proclaim the bounties of your Lord. 11
