Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Have you received the news of the Enveloper? 1 Faces on that Day shall be downcast, 2 labouring, toilworn, 3 they shall enter a burning Fire 4 Given water from the boiling spring to drink. 5 no food for them but cactus thorn 6 Neither nourishing nor banishing hunger. 7 Many faces will be joyous on that day, 8 with their striving well-pleased, 9 In a lofty Paradise. 10 hearing there no babble; 11 Wherein is a gushing spring, 12 therein uplifted couches 13 and goblets laid out, 14 And cushions set in rows, 15 and carpets spread out. 16 DO, THEN, they [who deny resurrection] never gaze at the clouds pregnant with water, [and observe] how they are created? 17 And the heaven, how it is reared aloft, 18 And the mountains, how they were fixed; 19 And the earth: how it was spread out? 20 So, [O Prophet] exhort them: your task is only to exhort, 21 Thou art not one to manage (men's) affairs. 22 As for those who turn their back and disbelieve, 23 God shall chastise him with the greatest chastisement. 24 Surely to Us is their return; 25 Then it will be for Us to call them to account. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
