Say (unto them, O Muhammad): I am only a warner, and there is no Allah save Allah, the One, the Absolute, 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between the twain, the Mighty, the Forgiver. 66 Say: “This is a tiding of tremendous import 67 yet you ignore it. 68 "No knowledge have I of the Chiefs on high, when they discuss (matters) among themselves. 69 This alone is revealed to me, that I am only a clear warner.' 70 When your Lord said to the angels; Surely I am going to create a mortal from dust: 71 When I have shaped him, and breathed My spirit in him, fall you down, bowing before him!' 72 Thereupon the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together, 73 except iblis (satan, the father of the jinn), he became too proud, for he was one of the unbelievers. 74 He (Allah) said: 'iblis, what prevented you from prostrating yourself towards that which I have created with My Hands? Have you become too proud, or are you among the grand' 75 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "I am better than he, You created me from fire, and You created him from clay." 76 Said He, 'Then go thou forth hence; thou art accursed. 77 "And verily!, My Curse is on you till the Day of Recompense." 78 He said, "Lord, grant me respite until the Day of Resurrection". 79 He said: “You are of those who have been granted respite 80 till the Appointed Day." 81 He said, "By Your Glory, I shall seduce all of them (children of Adam). 82 Other than the chosen ones among Your creatures." 83 (Allah) said: "Then it is just and fitting- and I say what is just and fitting- 84 [That] I will surely fill Hell with you and those of them that follow you all together." 85 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "No wage do I ask of you for this (the Quran), nor am I one of the Mutakallifun (those who pretend and fabricate things which do not exist). 86 Lo! it is naught else than a reminder for all peoples 87 "And you shall certainly know the truth of it after a while. 88
