The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Allah, the Most Gracious 1 has imparted this Qur'an [unto man]. 2 He hath created man. 3 Has taught him the knowledge of the past and the future. 4 The sun and the moon are made punctual. 5 and the stars and the trees bow themselves; 6 And the sky He hath uplifted; and He hath set the measure, 7 (Transgress not in the Balance, 8 Give just weight and do not skimp the scales. 9 And the earth He laid [out] for the creatures. 10 Therein is fruit and date-palms, producing spathes (enclosing dates); 11 and grains with their husk and fragrant plants. 12 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 13 He has created man out of sounding clay, like pottery, 14 and He created the jinn of a smokeless fire. 15 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 16 Lord of the two Easts, and Lord of the two Wests! 17 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 18 He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together: 19 Between them is a barrier which none of them can transgress. 20 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 21 From them come forth the pearl and the coral. 22 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 23 His too are the ships that run, raised up in the sea like land-marks. 24 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 25
