The Town (Al-Balad)
20 verses, revealed in Mecca after Q (Qaaf) before The Comet (Al-Taareq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ I swear by yonder city 1 And thou shalt be allowed in yonder city 2 by the begetter, and that he begot, 3 indeed, We created man in trouble. 4 What, does he think none has power over him, 5 saying, 'I have consumed wealth abundant'? 6 Deemest he that none beholdeth him? 7 Have We not appointed to him two eyes, 8 a tongue, and two lips, 9 And shown him the two highways? 10 So he did not quickly enter the steep valley. 11 And what shall make thee understand that which the steep is? 12 It is the setting free of a slave 13 Or the giving of food in a day of hunger 14 The orphan near in relationship, 15 Or some poor wretch in misery, 16 then that he become of those who believe and counsel each other to be steadfast, and counsel each other to be merciful. 17 Their place will be on the right hand. 18 But those who disbelieve in Our verses, they are the Companions of the Left, 19 Upon them shall be a Fire that will hem them in. 20
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

Notes and Instructions
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
Read the entire Holy Quran in full color, where pages randomly generate their colors and shapes so that the same scheme never repeats twice.
