Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the (Winds) that scatter broadcast; 1 by the clouds which are heavily loaded with water, 2 And those [ships] sailing with ease 3 and execute the great task of apportioning (rainfall): 4 Verily, that which you are promised is true indeed, 5 And the judgment must most surely come about. 6 I swear by the heaven full of ways. 7 Most surely you are at variance with each other in what you say, 8 He is turned away from it who would be turned away. 9 Death to those whose opinions are merely baseless conjectures. 10 Who are lost in deception. 11 They ask: “When will the Day of Judgement be?” 12 It will be the Day whereon in the Fire they will be burned 13 and will be told, "Suffer the torment which you wanted to experience immediately". 14 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs, 15 Taking what their Lord gives them; surely they were before that, the doers of good. 16 They were in the habit of sleeping but little by night, 17 And used to seek forgiveness before dawn. 18 And in their substance was the right of the beggar and non-beggar. 19 AND ON EARTH there are signs [of God's existence, visible] to all who are endowed with inner certainty, 20 And in yourselves. Then will you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your sustenance and what you are threatened with. 22 Then by the Lord of the heaven and earth, indeed, it is truth - just as [sure as] it is that you are speaking. 23
