The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the sky containing great stars 1 by the promised day, 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 of fire fiercely burning [for all who have attained to faith]! 5 When they were sitting near it 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 They had nothing against them, except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise! 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning. 10 As for those who believed and acted righteously, theirs shall be Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great triumph. 11 Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe. 12 Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth, 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Doer of what He will. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 (The armies of) Firaun and the tribe of Thamud. 18 Nay, but the unbelievers still cry lies, 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 It is indeed a glorious Quran, 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
