The unbelievers have said, "Shall we and our fathers be brought out of the graves after we become dust? 67 Indeed we and our fathers had been promised this before. It is nothing but the earlier people's lore." 68 Say: 'Journey in the land, then behold how was the end of the sinners.' 69 But grieve not over them, nor distress thyself because of their plots. 70 And they say, "When is [the fulfillment of] this promise, if you should be truthful?" 71 Say, "Perhaps it is close behind you - some of that for which you are impatient. 72 Indeed Your Lord is exceedingly bountiful to mankind. Yet most of them do not give thanks. 73 And verily, your Lord knows what their breasts conceal and what they reveal. 74 All the secrets in heavens and earth are recorded in the illustrious Book. 75 Verily this Qur'an doth explain to the Children of Israel most of the matters in which they disagree. 76 And verily it is a guidance and a mercy unto the believers. 77 Verily, [O believer,] thy Sustainer will judge between them in His wisdom - for He alone is almighty, all-knowing. 78 So you place your trust in God. Certainly you stand on positive truth. 79 You cannot make the dead to listen, or the deaf to hear the call, when they have turned their backs, 80 just as thou canst not lead the blind [of heart] out of their error; none canst thou make hear save such as [are willing to] believe in Our messages, and thus surrender themselves unto Us. 81 ۞ When the sentence will have been passed against them, We shall bring forth beastly brutes from the earth who will torment them, for men certainly do not believe Our signs. 82
