A multitude of those (on the Right Hand) will be from the first generation (who embraced Islam). 39 and also a large throng from those of later times. 40 And those on the left – how (wretched) are those on the left! 41 In fierce hot wind and boiling water, 42 in the shadow of a smoking blaze, 43 Nothing (will there be) to refresh, nor to please: 44 Surely they had lived before in luxury, 45 And were stubborn upon the great sin (of disbelief). 46 And said: "What! When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, shall we then be raised again? 47 And also our forefathers? 48 (Muhammad), say, "All the ancient and later generations 49 shall all be brought together on an appointed Day. 50 Then you, the erring and the deniers, 51 you shall eat of a tree called Zakkoum, 52 filling your bellies, with it 53 And drink over it scalding water, 54 drink it as the most insatiably thirsty camels drink!" 55 This is their entertainment on the day of requital. 56 We created you, why will you not believe! 57 Have ye seen that which ye emit? 58 Is it you who create it - or are We the source of its creation? 59 We have decreed death to you all, and We are not unable, 60 In the matter of exchanging you for others, and to transform you into what you do not know. 61 You are well aware of the first creation; then, do you learn no lesson from it? 62 Behold! that which ye sow. 63 Cause it ye to grow, or are We the Grower? 64 If We will, We would make it broken stubble and you would remain wondering, 65 "We are ruined, 66 "Indeed are we shut out (of the fruits of our labour)" 67 See ye the water which ye drink? 68 Is it you who cause it to come down from the clouds - or are We the cause of its coming down? 69 If We so pleased, We certainly could make it salty. Why, then, are you not grateful? 70 Behold! the fire which ye strike out: 71 Is it you who produced its tree, or are We the producer? 72 We have made it a memorial (of Our handiwork), and an article of comfort and convenience for the denizens of deserts. 73 Therefore glorify the name of your Lord, the Great. 74
