The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)

286 verses, revealed in Medina after The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen) before The Spoils of War (Al-Anfaal)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Alif Lam Mim. 1 That is the Book, wherein is no doubt, a guidance to the godfearing 2 Those who believe in the unseen and keep up prayer and spend out of what We have given them. 3 Who believe in that which has been sent down to you (Prophet Muhammad) and what has been sent down before you (to Prophets Jesus and Moses) and firmly believe in the Everlasting Life. 4 These are on guidance from their Lord, and these they are the blissful ones. 5 As to those who reject Faith, it is the same to them whether thou warn them or do not warn them; they will not believe. 6 God has sealed their hearts and their ears, and over their eyes there is a covering. They will have a terrible punishment. 7
