Al-Hijjr 2 of 6
And We have placed within the heaven great stars and have beautified it for the observers. 16 and We have guarded it from every accursed devil: 17 excepting such as listens by stealth -- and he is pursued by a manifest flame. 18 We have spread out the earth and set upon it firm mountains. Everything We have caused to grow therein is justly weighed; 19 and provided thereon means of livelihood for you [O men] as well as for all [living beings] whose sustenance does not depend on you. 20 With Us is the source of everything and We do not send it down except in a known quantity. 21 And We send the winds fertilizing, then We send down water from the heaven and We give it to you to drink, and thereof ye could not be the treasurers. 22 And verily We! it is We who give life and death, and We shall be the survivors. 23 And well do We know [the hearts and deeds of all human beings - both] those who lived before you and those who will come after you; 24 and it is your Lord who will gather them. He is Wise, Knowing. 25
