[Allah said], "O messengers, eat from the good foods and work righteousness. Indeed, I, of what you do, am Knowing. 51 And lo! this your religion is one religion and I am your Lord, so keep your duty unto Me. 52 But then they divided up their order into different creeds, each section rejoicing in what it had come to have. 53 So leave them in their intoxication till a time. 54 Do they think that because We have granted them abundance of wealth and sons, 55 We vie in good works for them? Nay, but they are not aware. 56 Surely those who tremble in fear of their Lord 57 Who believe in their Lord's revelations, 58 Who do not associate any one with their Lord, 59 and those who give what they give, their hearts quaking that they are returning to their Lord -- 60 It is those who hasten to good deeds, and they outstrip [others] therein. 61 We charge no soul with more than it can bear. We have a record which clearly shows the truth and they will not be wronged. 62 Nay, but their hearts are in ignorance of this (Qur'an), and they have other works, besides, which they are doing; 63 Until, when We seize in Punishment those of them who received the good things of this world, behold, they will groan in supplication! 64 (We shall say): 'Do not groan today, surely you shall receive no help from Us' 65 My Signs were rehearsed to you and you turned back on your heels and took to flight, 66 waxing proud against it, talking foolish talk by night.' 67 Is it then that they do not ponder over what is said, or is it that there has come to them that which did not come to their fathers of old? 68 Or is it that they were unaware of their Messenger and were therefore repelled by him for he was a stranger to them? 69 Or say they: There is a madness in him? Nay, but he bringeth them the Truth; and most of them are haters of the Truth. 70 Had the truth followed their fancies, the heavens, the earth, and all who live in them would have surely been corrupted. No, We brought them their Remembrance; but from their Remembrance they turn away. 71 Or do you, [O Muhammad], ask them for payment? But the reward of your Lord is best, and He is the best of providers. 72 And indeed you call them to the Straight Path. 73 But indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter are deviating from the path. 74 ۞ If We had mercy on them and removed the distress which is on them, they would obstinately persist in their transgression, wandering in distraction to and fro. 75 And indeed We grasped them with punishment, so neither did they submit themselves to their Lord, nor do they cry humbly. 76 until We open before them a gate of harsh punishment and then they will be dumbfounded. 77
