Lot's nation, belied their Messengers. 160 When their brother Lot said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 161 I am for you a faithful Messenger, 162 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 163 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage is only with the Lord of the Worlds. 164 "Must you, of all people, [lustfully] approach men, 165 And leave what your Lord has created for you as mates? But you are a people transgressing." 166 They said: "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will be expelled (from the city)." 167 He said: Surely I am of those who utterly abhor your doing; 168 "O my Lord! deliver me and my family from such things as they do!" 169 So We delivered him and his family,- all 170 except an old woman who remained behind. 171 Thereafter, We utterly destroyed the rest, 172 and We rained on them a rain; and evil is the rain of them that are warned. 173 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 174 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might Most Merciful. 175
