And indeed We have created man and We know what his soul instils in him; and We are nearer to him than the hearts artery. 16 When the two receivers receive, sitting on the right and on the left. 17 Not a word does he utter but there is a sentinel by him, ready (to note it). 18 And the agony of death cometh in truth. (And it is said unto him): This is that which thou wast wont to shun. 19 The trumpet will be sounded. This is the Day [you were] warned of. 20 Each soul will come with a driver and a witness. 21 (And unto the evil-doer it is said): Thou wast in heedlessness of this. Now We have removed from thee thy covering, and piercing is thy sight this day. 22 And his companion will say: 'This is that which I have present' 23 The command was given: “Cast into Hell every hardened, stubborn unbeliever, 24 who is an opponent of good, a suspicious transgressor 25 and has set up another deity with Allah. Hurl him into the grievous torment.” 26 ۞ Man's other self' will say: "O our Sustainer! It was not I that led his conscious mind into evil [nay,] but it had gone far astray [of its own accord]! 27 God will say, "Do not quarrel in My presence. I gave you the warning beforehand 28 The Sentence that comes from Me cannot be changed, and I am not unjust (to the least) to the slaves." 29
