Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 for an appointed time? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 The living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 as black camels. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
