The dwellers in El-Hijr cried lies to the Envoys. 80 We also gave them Our Signs, yet they turned away from them. 81 And they used to hew out dwellings from the hills, (wherein they dwelt) secure. 82 Then the Blast caught them in the morning 83 And all that which they used to earn availed them not. 84 We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, save in truth. Surely the Hour is coming; so pardon thou, with a gracious pardoning. 85 Surely your Lord is the Creator and knows (everything). 86 We have given you the seven dual (verses, Al Fatihah) and the Mighty Holy Reading (Koran). 87 Look not with your eyes ambitiously at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them (the disbelievers), nor grieve over them. And lower your wings for the believers (be courteous to the fellow-believers). 88 And say: 'I am the plain warner' 89 [For, thou art the bearer of a divine writ] such as We have bestowed from on high upon those who [afterwards] broke it up into parts, 90 [and] who [now] declare this Qur'an to be [a tissue of] falsehoods! 91 So by your Lord, We will surely question them all 92 About all what they used to do. 93 Proclaim openly what you are commanded, and avoid the polytheists. 94 Surely We will suffice you against the scoffers 95 Who make [equal] with Allah another deity. But they are going to know. 96 Well know We that thy bosom is oppressed by what they say, 97 So hallow thou the praise of thy Lord, and be thou of the prostrate. 98 And serve thy Lord until there come unto thee the Hour that is Certain. 99
True are the words of God the Almighty.

(1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
