Those who deny the truth say, "When we have turned to dust like our fathers, shall we be brought back to life again? 67 We have been promised this, we and our forefathers, before. This is not but legends of the former peoples." 68 Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how was the end of the criminals." 69 And grieve not over them or be in distress from what they conspire. 70 And they say: When will this threat come to pass, if you are truthful? 71 Say, "It may be that a part of what you would hasten on is close behind you." 72 Lo! thy Lord is full of bounty for mankind, but most of them do not give thanks. 73 Surely, your Lord knows what they hide in their hearts and what they reveal. 74 there is nothing hidden in heaven and on earth, but is recorded in a clear Book. 75 Surely this Koran relates to the Children of Israel most of that concerning which they are at variance; 76 it is a guidance, and a mercy unto the believers. 77 Verily thy Lord will decide between them by His Decree: and He is Exalted in Might, All-Knowing. 78 Therefore rely on Allah; surely you are on the clear truth. 79 Indeed the dead* do not listen to your call nor do the deaf* listen to your call, when they flee turning back. (The dead and deaf implies the disbelievers.) 80 Nor can you lead the blind when they have gone astray. You can make none hear except those who believe in Our signs and have come to peace and submission. 81 ۞ And when the Word falls on them, We will bring out from the earth a beast that shall speak to them: 'Indeed the people were not certain of Our verses.' 82
